Product development

A good conceptual design is not a product yet

- Working Prototype- Mould design
- Functional Testing- Assembling
- Material choice- Intellectual property protection
- Purchased parts vs. fabricated

We provide you with the tools to give project members (within your company or external) the information to make the right decisions. We constantly analyse and track, to make sure that you and the other project members are informed.

Analyzing

Due to our staff capacity in China and experience level, we have a very short response time for product analyses (strength calculations, location of parting lines & injection points, material selection, mould set-up, etc..). These analyses are available online, to pre-selected project members, through:

- Part/mould drawing

• Native formats (Solidworks, Pro-E, UG, CATIA)

• .IGS and STEP

e-drawings

- Picture

- Videos

Tracking

We monitor for you the three big questions in product development

- How does it look? (Design),

- Can we make it? (Engineering),

- What does it cost? (Budget).

Every part has a Design, Engineering and Budget status. Before the project starts, we define which project member(s) must confirm each status. All this data is available in our online tracking system.

Morphological diagram

At the end of the conceptual design phase we will first produce a morphologic diagram to define which parts are purchased and which are fabricated. This will give you a clear indication about:

- Parts price of the product (PP)
- Investment required (mould development cost) (I)
- Minimum order quantity (MOQ)

Concept prototype

The next stage always involves a prototype. Within the group we have an excellent facility at which we can make your 'Intellectual Property secured' prototype. For prototyping we mainly use CNC technology to mill the parts out of its designed material to obtain a prototype that resembles the final product as closely as possible. If the prototype is a coffee machine you will be able to make coffee with it and drink it!

Detailed engineering

In this stage we completely define & analyze all the parts and finalize the morphological diagram to be able to finally give you the choice between purchasing and fabricating the parts.

Pre-production prototyping
Through the use of soft tools we can make up to 100 pre-production sets of your product for field testing, assembly analysis and final debugging in order to make sure that the production will run smoothly.
